Summary info : Instruction Manual Calc Thingy 1.1.2 for 10.2.8 or later |
Calc thingy is completely respectable and is a wonderful tool for learning and performing daily mathematical functions. I wrote it because nothing else did what I wanted. This does, mostly. It doesn't pay my taxes by itself, but it comes close. It's as full of features as you want it to be. You could learn more about it by viewing the included help documentation here on this web site, but it comes in the app if you ask for help, and the download is so small that it'd probably take longer to view the web pages. The size is small because the code is clean and Mac OS X does the graphical heavy lifting. Try it. If you don't like it I'll give you your money back

download PHATClock 0.5.2 for 10.3 or later |
PHATClock is intended to be a standalone punch-clock system. It's functional enough to use, and I do, which is why Tom and I wrote it. It could still use some more features. We'll get to those when we can. Anyway, it's trustworthy and the file format is plain and standard.

download MathQuiz 1.0.3 for 10.3 or later |
Ryan's Math Quiz. It's a flash-card style review of addition and subtraction designed to improve proficiency and confidence in basic math. It's easy, reinforcing, and mildly addictive. There is nothing that needs to be set up. After you finish a session you can choose to view how you did and print a summary with review problems based on what you missed. Difficulty can be set from just adding numbers from 0-5 up through multiplying and dividing 0-15 such as "180/15="
